Trust Badge

Elderberry is the dark, purple berry of the European or Black Elder tree. They grow in the warmer areas of Europe, North America, Asia, and Northern Africa.

The berries, found in small bunches, are quite tart and need to be cooked to be eaten. Traditionally, Native Americans used the elderberry to treat infections, while the ancient Egyptians used them to improve their complexions and heal burns.

Today, the Elderberry is one of the most commonly used medicinal plants in the world. The berries are high in Vitamin C, dietary fiber, phenolic acid (powerful antioxidants) and are rich in anthocyanins (anti-inflammatory agents).

Research has shown that elderberries appear to decrease the length and severity of flu symptoms. Also, they may support heart health and have a variety of anti-cancer, anti-diabetes, and anti-inflammatory effects.

Use our Elderberry balsamic as a flavorful addition to your healthy meals.

Ingredients: Grape must, wine vinegar, natural flavors, naturally occurring sulfites.
