The newest 2020 Southern Hemisphere crush has arrived at Saratoga Olive Oil Co. These delicious varietals from Spain and Australia can be found in stores in Saratoga, Burlington, and Lake Placid, as well as online. We are thrilled with the selection this year and we know you will be too!
The following varietals are available for this year’s late 2020 harvest:
- Australian Hojiblanca: Ripened to perfection, picked and milled within 4 hours from harvest, ensuring optimal freshness. This varietal is ideal for seafood, chicken dishes, and risotto!
- Chilean Arbequina: Smooth with notes of apples and fresh herbs, with a creamy finish reminiscent of the Brazil nut. Use this as an alternative to butter! Toss with pasta or drizzle over fish.
- Chilean Coratina: An Italian olive grown in Chile, offering an aroma of fresh herbs, with hints of banana, plums, grapes, and a nutty finish. Use liberally in the cooler months to remind you of the warmer days!
- Chilean Koroneiki: Delightfully complex with fragrant notes of chamomile, banana, Belgian endive, and pepper. Pair this flavor-packed oil with any of our white balsamics for a delicious dressing.
Keep in mind when storing olive oils—for olive oil that taster better, longer, keep your bottles away from heat and out of direct light.
