Jalapeño Mint Julep

A classic southern cocktail, the Mint Julep became the Kentucky Derby’s official drink in 1939. Our locally made Jalapeño Mint Bar Syrup adds a much-needed subtle kick, turning this sugary cocktail into a well balanced summertime sipper!  Recipe By Taylor MacDougall

  • 12 Mint leaves
  • 2 oz SOOC Jalapeño Mint Bar Syrup
  • 10 oz Kentucky Bourbon
  • 1 can Club Soda

Products used: Jalapeño Mint Bar Syrup


  • Add the mint leaves and Jalapeño Mint Bar Syrup to a cocktail mixing glass. Muddle until the mint starts to break down.
  • Add the bourbon to the glass and stir to combine.
  • Divide the mixture between 4 julep cups or highball glasses, top with crushed ice and a splash of club soda. Garnish with additional mint leaves and enjoy all summer long!
