Espresso Martini

Espresso Martini

Have you ever wondered why there are usually always three coffee beans garnishing your espresso martini? Tradition holds that these three beans represent health, wealth, and happiness. It comes from the traditional serving of Sambuca in Italy, where the beans are called con la mosca, which means “with the fly”.

An espresso martini is traditionally made with brewed espresso. I usually make my espresso in my Nespresso machine, but you can use any espresso machine or even brew super strong coffee in whatever coffee machine you own. The rich coffee flavor and sweetness from the espresso balsamic cuts the alcohol making espresso martinis taste so dangerously good!
