Strawberry Balsamic Mozzarella Crostinis

Strawberry Balsamic Mozzarella Crostinis

This dish combines mozzarella, olive oil, balsamic reduction, and fresh-cut strawberries! It's a wonderful dish for a refreshing summer day! The strawberries can also be replaced with another fruit – peaches would be a great option!

Products used: Traditional 18-Year Balsamic Vinegar, Basil Olive Oil, Strawberry Pepper Balsamic Jam

Ingredients

1 Mozzarella Ovolini ball
1 cup Traditional 18-Year Balsamic Vinegar
1 tablespoon Basil Olive Oil
SOOC Strawberry Pepper Balsamic Jam
Fresh strawberries
French baguette
Fresh basil, optional

Directions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Place the balsamic vinegar in a saucepan and begin on low heat to reduce the vinegar to a reduction. You will cook it until it is thicker. Allow to cool while you prepare the other parts of the dish.

Begin slicing your baguette into thin slices. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet.

Drizzle the slices of bread with olive oil, as much as desired.

Bake for 8 - 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Cut the strawberries into slices while the bread is baking.

Tear pieces of the mozzarella off and place on crostinis. Top with strawberries and drizzle the balsamic reduction on top. Garnish with basil, if desired.
