Blood Orange and Fig Balsamic Glazed Skillet Salmon

This elegant one-skillet dish combines the sweetness of blood oranges with the tangy richness of fig balsamic glaze, creating a caramelized crust on flaky salmon fillets.

Products used: Blood Orange Olive Oil & Fig Balsamic, Blood Orange Olive Oil, Fig Balsamic Vinegar

Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
3 tbsp SOOC Blood Orange Olive Oil
2 tbsp SOOC Fig Balsamic Vinegar
1 tbsp garlic, minced
Juice of ½ a blood orange
2 tbsp honey
1 blood orange, sliced
3–5 dried figs, sliced or cubed
Salt and black pepper, to taste

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear salmon, seasoned with salt and pepper, for 3–4 minutes per side.

2. In a small saucepan, combine remaining olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, blood orange juice, and honey. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened.

3. Place orange slices and figs in the skillet with the salmon. Drizzle the glaze over the top. Bake for 20–30 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through. Serve warm.
